烟台图书馆现有各学科、各门类的图书、报刊和现代出版物189.05多万册（件），其中，古籍7万余册，本地电子文献69.5万种、报刊1337种、视听文献资料697件。开通有“烟台市网络图书馆”，拥有300多万种电子图书和近500份报纸。建立有“烟台方志馆”、“胶东文献库”、“文史资料室”、“烟台籍作者库”及地方文献书目数据库。
